Hawaii...

Cody and I were so excited to go to Hawaii! He was able to get us cheap flights, so it made it even better! It was fun to just go with Cody, especially since he only had a couple of months before he left for his mission. We just hung out and relaxed, we didn't have to worry about anything. Tyler picked us up from the airport and we stayed at their house for the week.

The first day we were there, Tyler gave us a tour of the BYU-Hawaii campus, and the Laie Temple grounds. The Temple is beautiful! We went through the visitors center, and watched a short video about the Laie, before BYU, and the Temple were built... pretty neat!

Driving around the island was amazing! It is so beautiful....
Temple Beach... it only took us a couple of minutes to walk there from Tyler and Becky's house... The water was so clear!
We drove down to Waimea Bay one day, it is so beautiful there! It was getting a little chilly so Becky and I stayed on the sand while Tyler and Cody got in the water for a little while.

On the way back we stopped at Sunset Beach. It was beautiful! I don't think I have ever seen one like it.

Another day, we went on a hike to find a waterfall. After walking for a while, we realized we walked in a huge circle, and we never found it... but we still had a good time
and got a little exercise:)

I wore my sandals, and stepped in some mud:(
I still have dried mud on those sandals...
Tyler and Becky took us to Waikiki to surf, along with some of their friends. I had so much fun.... even caught a couple of waves:)
After surfing, we went to Mac 24-7, a restaurant in Waikiki. We saw a clip on Food Network about their giant pancakes, so we had to try them out for ourselves....
And they were so yummy!

On our last day, Cody and I drove to some of the places we wanted to visit before we went home. We stopped at Turtle Beach and watched the turtles swim for a little bit.
Then we got some shrimp on the way home, and it was delicious....
it had lots of garlic.
We had such a great time! Thanks Tyler and Becky for letting us stay with you and showing us around your town!
